ACMobility’s Power-on-Wheels: Mobile EV Charging Comes to You in the Philippines

Living the EV life in the city is getting a whole lot easier, thanks to ACMobility. These guys, already known for setting up EV charging stations all over, have just rolled out something pretty innovative: their mobile EV charging station, aptly named Power-on-Wheels, or POW.

Think of it as having a fast-charging station come directly to you. For those of us in condos or offices without readily available chargers, or even just when you want to skip the queue at a public station, POW is a game-changer. Equipped with onboard fast DC chargers, it puts you in control, letting you power up your electric vehicle with ultimate ease and flexibility – right from the comfort of your home, condo parking, or even your office building.

According to ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, while they continue to expand their fixed charging network, they’re also committed to tackling infrastructure concerns head-on. Power-on-Wheels is their answer, a convenient mobile solution that perfectly complements their growing network. It’s about making the EV lifestyle truly accessible to everyone, no matter their living situation.

This cool initiative is a partnership with Power Up Tech (P.UP), a Singapore-based company with a solid track record in mobile EV charging across Asia. Their proven technology makes them the ideal partner for ACMobility in boosting our local EV infrastructure.

Initially, you’ll spot these POW units across key areas in Metro Manila, specifically Makati, Mandaluyong, and Taguig. But the plan is to expand this service to even wider areas nationwide soon. It’s a fantastic solution for condo dwellers, homeowners, employees, and businesses alike, aligning perfectly with the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA).

These mobile chargers are designed to cater to both fully electric vehicles (BEVs) and certain plug-in hybrids, supporting fast DC charging with a capacity of up to 120 kWh. They’re also compatible with vehicles using the widely adopted CCS2 plug.

Getting your EV charged via POW is super straightforward. You’ll use the Evro app, ACMobility’s partner for a unified eMobility experience. It’s a single platform that simplifies the entire charging process.

And to make things even better, ACMobility is offering flexible subscription plans – Light Duty, Commuter, and High Miler – tailored to different usage needs and battery sizes. These plans even come with car care services, adding extra value. Plus, you can easily top up your charging credits with “POW-ups” and access other vehicle services for an even more premium experience. This way, you can choose a plan that perfectly fits your driving habits and budget, all while enjoying hassle-free charging.

To celebrate the launch, they’ve even got a special POW3000 promo, giving new subscribers a hefty ₱3,000 discount on their first month’s subscription. This limited-time offer runs until June 25th and can be redeemed through the Evro app.

Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility, emphasizes that their core mission is to address consumer pain points through innovation. Power-on-Wheels is another step towards fulfilling that pledge and leading the way in building a better EV infrastructure in the Philippines. With their expanding service network and customer-focused approach, they’re helping drive the shift towards a more sustainable and smarter way to get around.

Power-on-Wheels is ready for bookings now. For any questions about the subscription plans or ACMobility Membership, you can reach out through the in-app chat on the Evro app or call the ACMo Helpline.
