Chopping its way to my heart through my stomach is CHOPS Chicago Steakhouse, it’s honestly the best steakhouse I’ve been to. It’s not just the food, by the way, the interior design and the service is also worth raving about. The ambiance is a mixture of comfort and elegance with a classic southern look.
This is CHOPS Chicago Steakhouse in Greenbelt 5, have yet to visit the other branch at Shangri-La Mall. The walls are decorated with arts and photographs that add up to the relaxing mood of the place. There are different sets of tables that fit well to different dining occasions. Whether it be a family celebration or an intimate date with your special someone, there’s a table waiting for you. There is also a function room with a large TV for your audio visual requirement.
Before the steak, let’s check out CHOPS Chicago Steakhouse’s other signature dishes starting with Apples and Arugula – Mixed salad greens, arugula, smoked bacon, green apples, caramelized walnuts with chili balsamic vinaigrette. A must try when you get to visit CHOPS Chicago Steakhouse.
Next in line we have The Bone Marrow, Roasted beef marrow, toasted crostini and parsley salad. You can’t just have one order of this, I guarantee that you’ll order another serving.
The Chicken Platter is garlic herbed roasted chicken, natural jus, sauteed French beans and potato overload.
Silence of the Lamb slow braised lamb shoulders in red wine jus, served with truffle carrot puree & seasoned vegetables. I’m really not into lambs, but this one passed the test. It didn’t have the “malansa” taste that I encounter with other lamb dishes. I don’t know how they did it, but it’s good and it deserves to be on your list of must-tries at CHOPS Chicago Steakhouse.
What’s better than bacon? Charbroiled Slab of Bacon, CHOPS’ home-made smoked bacon, pomegranate honey mustard and black pepper.
CHOPS Chicago Steakhouse wouldn’t be a steakhouse without steak, so here are the two of their best sellers. The USDA Certified Angus Beef, rib eye, grain fed.
The Wisconsin Beef Tenderloin is a 100% grass-fed USDA Certified and Graded dry-aged beef. It doesn’t matter which you order, CHOPS Chicago Steakhouse’s steaks are all good and highly recommendable.
Lastly reward yourself with temptations prepared by the chefs. We have the Dark Chocolate Cigar which is made from dark chocolate cannoli, Bourbon mascarpone cream filling and white chocolate. The Root Beer Cake is made up of warm chocolate lava cake, chocolate ganache & sarsaparilla essence, served with vanilla ice cream & whipping cream. It was the first time I was served cake in a mug, but I’m not complaining, I actually love it.
Overall the food and the experience that CHOPS Chicago Steakhouse offers was one-of-a-kind. The food is no doubt very impressive, it’s the definitely the best steakhouse for steak lovers. The place is great for intimate bonding with friends, family, and even your special someone. It takes you away from the busy, fast-paced, life in the city and it makes you take pleasure in what you eat and savor the moment with the person you are with. It turns your usual dining experience into a memorable bonding.
