It’s been six months since I had HUAWEI’s MatePad T 10s and let me just give you an update on how it faired performed during real life and is it as reliable or fast as it was when I reviewed it – Huawei MatePad T 10s Review – More Than Basic.
Just to give you an idea, the MatePad T 10s was used almost all day, every day. In the morning, my daughter uses it for her classes almost every day, she uses the laptop when needed (exams, quizzes, etc.) She runs Microsoft Teams, One Note, Office, Chrome, and many others, sometimes all the at the same time. While doing that, she has a wired headset and a Bluetooth keyboard connected to it. Classes start from 7:30 AM up until around 12:30 / 2PM and still the battery doesn’t fail her
After classes, she uses it to play a bit of Mobile Legends or sometimes Netflix. You can already tell that tablet has gone through a lot in the last six months. She just completed her 5th-grade classes and she has not complained about the performance of the HUAWEI MatePad T 10s or has had any problems along the way.
At first, I was doubtful at first because I thought the lack of Google will have a huge impact on productivity and may not have the apps required by school available. But I was proven wrong, we completed the school year without any issues. There were a few times when she uses a computer for special exams that requires a special application.
At night, I prefer using the tablet for my Netflix and Youtube videos for a larger screen and better viewing experience. I just use my HUAWEI Freelace Pro for the sound not to disturb my wife’s sleeping. Sometimes, my son borrows it to play rank at Mobile Legends. So you see, although we have our phones or laptops, the MatePad T 10s is our go-to gadget for entertainment. You can already imagine how abused the tablet is for the past six months.
The HUAWEI MatePad T 10s has been our all-around multimedia device at home. I never knew that we would enjoy having a tablet. I thought that having a smartphone and a computer is already good, but having a tablet gives a different experience, especially when I’m reading an ebook, an article, or reading charts.

In summary, my HUAWEI MatePad T 10s, has gone through a lot in the past six months, from online classes, to level ranking game, binge watching, and late night readings. In all those times, I have never had any issues with performance. There are times when I miss Google native apps, like GMail, Youtube, and others, but the web version does the job too. Based on my overall experience, it’s a tablet that I will still be using for years to come.
There are also a lot of other gadgets that your mom would love and appreciate. What I also recommend getting is the HUAWEI Watch Fit. Because of the current health crisis, I recommend a gadget that not only helps her get fit with the help of the training presets, it will also help her monitor some health status with the heart rate monitor, sleep tracker, stress monitor, and the Sp02 meter which is the most important stat to monitor currently.
When we were exposed to a Covid positive relative, we had our test done (thankfully negative), but we were also advised to check our oxygen rate from time to time and see a doctor if it goes below 95%.
