All the Data You’ll Need From the HUAWEI Watch GT 2e

All the Data You’ll Need From the HUAWEI Watch GT 2e

I’ve lost count of the days that we have been under ECQ but I haven’t lost count of the my health stats thanks to my health advisor, HUAWEI Watch GT 2e.

How has the the watch helped me in monitoring my health? Let me enumerate the ways.

Heart Rate Monitoring

HUAWEI Watch GT 2e uses an optical hear rate sensor which can monitor your heart rate all day when you enable continuous hear rate using the app. You can disable all day monitoring if preferred, to save on battery life. Also you can set heart rate limits and warns you if your heart rate exceeds the limit.

Why is this useful?

  1. Those who exercise and needs to maintain a specific heart rate for safety reasons (medical condition).
  2. Athletes who needs heart rate data for effective professional training.

SpO2 Monitor

SpO2 or the oxygen saturation in the blood. Sounds very complicated but from what I understood is it has something to do with light absorption. The SpO2 monitor is a useful natural indicator of the condition of a person’s respiratory system. The feature also available in the Huawei bands.

Why is this useful?

  1. It is used to to assess someone’s ability to tolerate increased physical activity. (if kaya pa).
  2. It can be used to evaluate if someone needs help breathing.

I should have used it one of the workout events I attended. I will never forget it because I fainted during warm ups. Hahaha.

Sleep Tracking

After using the watch during the ECQ I have been more conscious of my sleep time and quality of sleep (deep sleep, light sleep and REM). Before ECQ I was only averaging 5-6 hours of sleep. After ECQ I was getting more sleep but of low quality because I have a low deep sleep and the late night binging (according to the Health App).

Why is this useful?

  1. You get to track your sleep hours and the quality of sleep.
  2. Data will encourage you to improve your sleeping habits and limit the number episodes your binging.

Stress Monitoring

Most of the time, my stress level on the HUAWEI Watch GT 2e is on normal but increases when I get a call from my boss regarding work, it went as high as 79. Which any normal employee would feel especially if you’re catching a deadline.

Why is this useful?

  1. It’ll help you manage stress and find out what causes it. I was using the watch and I check all the data before getting to sleep and I notice I had increase in stress level 1:30PM. I realized it was when I was rushing for a deadline.
  2. The HUAWEI Watch GT 2e has a breathing exercise feature to help you reduce stress and anxiety.

Compass and Barometer

I don’t have any specific need for it. I’ll probably use only when I get curious but this could be more helpful for those who are into hiking, mountain climbing or biking (mountain trail).

Work Out

Like mentioned in the previous blog, the HUAWEI Watch GT 2e has 85 customized workout modes which can all customized according to your goals.

Why is this useful?

  1. It’s motivational. Seeing your progress using the app makes you want to do more.
  2. You can set goals.
Huawei Watch GT 2e

Using the HUAWEI Watch GT 2e with me for two weeks had me conscious with my physical well being. It made a big difference in my routine as it constantly reminds that I need to start working out or do some stretching. The data it provides helped me understand more about sleep, my work out progress and more.

Just a reminder though, the watch is not a medical device and the data is for reference only. It’s more of an advisor or a coach.

You can get the Huawei Watch GT 2e at Lazada or Shopee for Php6,900. Check out Huawei’s Facebook page and website for promos and other announcements.
