In the first working week on the year, the People’s Champ, Manny Pacquiao lead the preaching at Habitat for Humanity office for their Monday Devotion. It was the first time that I saw Manny up close and with a different aura.
He was not his fighting form, it was like he was stripped of his 8 Division Championship belt and became a champion of God. It was a renewed Manny Pacquaio. He was not afraid to share how bad he was or what sins he has committed in the past. He was a drunkard, a womanizer, a gambler, and may others. He told stories of his sins, and he told stories from the Bible.
After his heartfelt preaching and sharing the word or God, he renewed his commitment to be an Ambassador and Spokesperson for Habitat for Humanity Philippines. Pacquaio also donated P5-million which will be used partially to fund 195 houses for families in Glan, Saranggani.
When asked what will be his first project or plan after renewing his commitment he said that he plans to host a dinner with the leaders and people from the business sector and hopefully invite them to join and participate in re-building the Philippines.
Here’s a snippet of his preaching.
