A few months after my trip to Taal Vista Hotel, I just had to bring my family to there too and experience the best of what Tagaytay has to offer. It was perfect timing because the were to celebrate their annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
We were way to early for check in when we arrived to passed time by taking photos. The Christmas tree was already up and ready to be lit that night. It was created by Pampanga craftsmen, which are famous for their lanterns.
The tree looks good from any angle. It’s appears to be an accent to the blue sky, the clouds, and the greens during the day. And when it lit up, it looked a lot better because it lights up the dark cold Tagaytay night and gives you that warm holiday feeling you miss during Christmas.
After checking in, we reseted for a few minutes. We were surprised to see the a ginger bread Christmas house waiting for us.
I had to accompany my daughter for a had a quick dip at the pool because the cold doesn’t bother her anyway (curse you Elsa!). It is freakin’ cold. Oh the things we do for our daughter. The at 4PM we were already getting ready for the ceremonies.
Everyone were all dressed up and excited for the joyous event. But before we head to the tree lighting, Taal Vista Hotel unveiled their new History Panel at the Sampaguita Ballroom Foyer. The unveiling was headed by General Manager Mr. Richard Gamlin and SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation President Ms. Elizabeth Sy.
The wall features the rich history of Taal Vista Hotel, from its humble beginnings in 1939 to the Second World War from 1942 to 1944, until the acquisition of SM in 1998 (if I remember it correctly).
Outside visitors, guests and friends from the media were gathered around the tree excitedly waiting for it to be lit. General Manager Mr. Richard Gamlin and SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation President Ms. Elizabeth Sy were also spearheading the ceremony while Imusicapella Chamber Choir were entertaining the guests with our fave Christmas melodies.
The children of Augustinian Sister Servants of Jesus and Mary, received their Christmas gifts early thru Ms. Elizabeth Sy and Richard Gamlin. #SanaAll #SanaTaal
When everyone were already proceding to the event/party venue, some of us stayed a bit to have our photos taken with the 1,326 bulb lit Christmas tree.
At the Grand Ballroom a special concert from the Imusicapella Chamber Choir and Opus One set the holiday mood up a notch before we feast on the sumptuous food prepared for the night. Good thing I brought my family over because it really felt like Christmas that night, I wished it snowed that night to complete the experience.
After the event we dropped by Sky Ranch because it was just beside Taal Vista and it’s connected thru an entrance at the back of the hotel. You can also purchase entrance tickets at the hotel’s reception area.
We had a light breakfast the following morning because our digestive system were still busy from what we had last night. Then we strolled along savored the last day at Taal Vista Hotel appreciating its beauty, the landscape, installations. Wife was in the mood for work so she stayed in the room and had a small office set up in the balcony.
Our visit at Taal Vista Hotel was only for a day but it made a lot of good memories for always. The cool breeze, the instagrammable installations, the landscape, the view, the food, the rooms, the whole experience itself is definitely one for the books. This holiday season, Taal Vista Hotel have prepared packages for a perfect holiday experience for your family to enjoy and reminisce about for years to come.
