Burgers is one of the best food that man has ever made. The mouth-watering beef patty enclosed in a bun is just heaven to taste. Different restaurants has different ways of making their burger taste better than the other, or making it suitable for a certain market. Whatever the combination of ingredients are, it’s still burger. Truly, not all burgers are created equal.
Wham Burgers has a lot of unique burger recipes and sidings that are worth your cravings. Although it looks like a foreign franchise, a 100% Filipino burger brand. The comics inspired look made it look foreign. It was stared by good friends Tony Yap and Dondi Lazaro who worked hard to build their own burger brand, something that goes in between a basic burger in a fast food and very expensive hotels for something fancy.
“The initial simplicity of the food and items inspired from my international travels very much worked. Along the way, we had to adapt to Filipino taste, like adding Spaghetti in the menu because kids loved it and wouldn’t eat anything else. And the major draw about our burger is how we cook our patty. We use the old-fashioned real charcoals”, Tony shares.
Now lets start checking out the burgers, starting with the Whammer. It comes with deep fried onion strings for additional crunch, also with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato, with bloomin’ onion sauce in a brioche bun.
Next is my favorite, among all their burgers – the Kapow! It’s like “Holy Whamming burgers Batman! This one’s good!” Kapow is probablt the first one I tasted has chili sauce, freshly made salsa, and jalapeno peppers.
Django Burger is for the inner cowboy in you with its Western style with American cheese, bacon strips and onion slices and smokey barbecue sauce. A fitting a salute to Barbeque and Bourbon.
If you’re having a hard time choosing which burger to try first, I suggest you go with the Sliders Trio. It includes the classic favorites – Wham Burger, Wham Burger w/ cheese, and the Bacon Burger for only Php200. It’s more than one person can handle, unless your that hungry.
What a burger with out fries, and they have more than one potato sidings to choose from.
They have French Fries, Cross Trax Fries and Potato Wedges. Other sidings include Pepper Poppers, Onion Rings and Spaghetti Fries. Yes, you read it right, SPAGHETTI FRIES – French fries topped with spaghetti sauce, meat and cheese. Kids will love it, and adults too!
