BingoPlus Foundation just gathered 80 of its FutureSmart scholars for a general assembly designed to turn them into future leaders. The event, held on July 19, 2025, wasn’t just about handing out scholarships; it was a full-on mentorship program.
The foundation’s P.L.U.S. (Pioneering Leadership and Uplifting Service) Factor Program is all about giving scholars more than just financial aid. This year’s assembly focused on two key areas: figuring out your purpose and mastering public speaking.

First, a workshop on “Purpose and Vision” was led by Management Strategies, a global consulting firm. They helped the scholars dig deep to find their “why,” aligning their personal goals with future careers and advocacies. As Jasper Vicencio, Vice President and Trustee of the Foundation said, “We’re not just offering scholarships. We’re building leaders who can create impact.” This session also featured special guests Chelsea Fernandez, Miss Philippines Cosmo 2025, and Kat Llegado, Miss Philippines Supranational 2026, who shared how they use their pageant platforms for a greater purpose. Joie Ann Balaong of iVolunteer Philippines also spoke, sharing her story of finding fulfillment in community service.

The second part of the assembly was a Public Speaking Workshop led by trainer and host Ms. Issa Litton. She taught the scholars how to project confidence, use their voice effectively, and present themselves with clarity and poise. It’s a key part of the program, because as Vicencio put it, “When scholars know their purpose and can speak it with confidence, they become unstoppable forces for good.”

This event is part of BingoPlus Foundation’s bigger mission to invest in character-building, leadership development, and values formation for the next generation of Filipino leaders, going beyond traditional education support.
