BingoPlus Foundation Donates to DSWD’s New QC Crisis Intervention Unit

DigiPlus Interactive Corp., through its awesome social development arm, BingoPlus Foundation, is stepping up to expand the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)‘s reach to those in urgent need. When the DSWD opened its brand-spanking-new Crisis Intervention Unit (CIU) satellite office in Quezon City, BingoPlus Foundation swooped in with essential furniture and logistical support, making sure the agency can deliver fast, inclusive, and compassionate services even better!

This new satellite CIU office, located at Paragon Place along Commonwealth Avenue, is designed to better accommodate beneficiaries of DSWD’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) and Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP). These programs are lifelines, offering immediate financial relief to Filipinos hit by disasters, medical emergencies, or other tough situations. With this expanded facility, clients get greater accessibility and a safer, more comfortable experience.

Before the center officially opened on June 26, 2025, the Foundation donated a whopping 1,034 chairs and 204 tables! These are now vital for everything from waiting areas to consultation rooms. “At DigiPlus, we believe that support shouldn’t just be available, but should also feel accessible,” said Angela Camins-Wieneke, Executive Director of BingoPlus Foundation. They’re stoked to help create a space that truly meets Filipinos where they are, especially when they’re going through the toughest times.

Back in 2024, BingoPlus Foundation was a huge help during Typhoon Kristine, providing major rice donations and a cool ₱37-million in emergency relief. They’ve also partnered with regional DSWD units for feeding programs, medical aid, and digital learning support.

This latest CIU donation is part of the Foundation’s massive ₱150 million commitment for 2025, focusing on Technology Education, Accessible Healthcare, Community Resilience, and Responsible Digitalization. All these amazing initiatives are powered by the success of DigiPlus’ top digital entertainment brands like BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, fueling large-scale social impact!

As Camins-Wieneke puts it, “This isn’t just about providing tables and chairs. It’s about making sure people in crisis feel seen, served, and supported. Every Filipino deserves a system that works for them. Through our work with the DSWD and other agencies, we’re doing our part to build that system.” Now that’s what we call making a difference!
