Valenzuela City is making a bold move towards a greener future! BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility have teamed up to deliver 41 BYD Dolphin electric vehicles to the Valenzuela City government. To support this fleet, Greenstrum, an ACMobility subsidiary, has installed a network of 15 convenient 7 kW AC chargers across 12 locations in the city. This makes Valenzuela the first local government unit (LGU) in the Philippines to operate the country’s largest electric vehicle police fleet, marking a significant step towards cleaner and more efficient public services.
ACMobility isn’t stopping there; they’re also installing public EV charging points throughout Valenzuela, starting with a 60 kW DC fast charger at the Alert Station. These public chargers will be visible in the Evro app, making EV charging accessible to all Valenzuelanos.

Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines, expressed his pride in this partnership: “ACMobility and BYD Cars Philippines are proud to turn over this fleet of 41 BYD Dolphin electric vehicles to the City of Valenzuela. These EVs will now serve and protect the people, not just as tools of law enforcement, but as symbols of a cleaner, smarter, and more responsible future.”

Out of the 41 BYD Dolphin EVs, 35 will be used by the Valenzuela City Police Station for patrol duties, five will serve city government offices, and one will be a first responder vehicle. Each Dolphin is powered by a 95 PS electric motor and a 44.9 kWh BYD Blade Battery, offering a range of up to 405 kilometers on a single charge. They also support fast charging, going from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes – perfect for the demands of government operations. The police vehicles have also been equipped with necessary lights, sirens, and communication systems.
Valenzuela City Mayor Wes Gatchalian emphasized the city’s pioneering role: “By aiming to be the first LGU in the Philippines with the largest fleet of electric vehicles and the most extensive network of government and public charging stations strategically located in NLEX, in MacArthur, and in Mindanao Avenue, we have become torchbearers of the country.”
He further added, “This is just the beginning of a transformative journey. By strategically placing charging stations in major thoroughfares and vibrant urban centers, we are promoting the use and making the transition to electric vehicles effortless, convenient, and accessible to all Valenzuelanos.”
