FREIA at Pico de Loro Cove: A Seaside Condo that Refreshes You Daily

COVID fears and quarantine restrictions have driven Filipinos to seek refuge outside of the city.  Closeness to nature, a healthier environ, and the avoidance of curtailed freedom are the main reasons.  Likewise, advance technology has made remote working easier, thus setting the trend towards relocation.

FREIA is the newest gem within Pico de Loro Cove at Hamilo Coast, the prime leisure resort community located in Nasugbu, Batangas. A fitting apex and the most luxurious after eight mid-rise residential condominium developments in the sprawling 40-hectare estate, FREIA at Pico de Loro Cove offers prime units with panoramic views of the West Philippine Sea and Mount Pico. The whole of Pico de Loro Cove (developed by SM Prime’s Costa Del Hamilo Incorporated) guarantees the seclusion, security and serenity required for a quick recharge or remote business supervision.  Yet, it is a mere half-hour drive to Nasugbu town proper and an hour and a half commute to Metro Manila.

As the crowning glory, FREIA is set in a luxury seaside sanctuary. Global design firm Broadway Malyan gave the shape – a singular panoramic rectangular structure with three towers suggestive of a mountain range—and a layout — lots of open spaces for air flow—that would make residents feel that FREIA is a special spot in the inlet.

FREIA is in a beachfront resort-community, replete with open spaces so one can feel the sea breeze along the corridors, covered walkways and inside the spacious residences with oversized balconies.  Generously shaded areas and pockets of landscape likewise provide cooling and health benefits.

The warm color scheme and textures of the building materials easily meld with the natural surroundings.  Architect Arni Villanueva of GF + Partners Architect, Broadway Malyan’s local counterpart, says that the materials are sourced locally to lessen the carbon footprint.

The substantial sizes of the two-bedroom condos vary from 67 sqm to 154 sqm, while the cuts of three-bedroom loft penthouses, which range from 221 to 392 sqm meters, are as large as a house.  Built with only 223 units, FREIA has fewer units per floor so that owners can enjoy the comfort of space and privacy.

Ultimately, the FREIA lifestyle starts by waking up to crisp air and finishes to the symphony of crickets and other nature sounds. It will make you feel as if you’re always on a holiday.

Villanueva says FREIA steps up the level of convenience and comfort. “Units are outfitted with high quality fixtures to assure the security and well-being of its residents,’’ says Villanueva.

Other condo developments come with a bare concrete ceiling which makes it challenging to renovate or install fixtures. FREIA’s units are built with a drop ceiling for easy placement of lighting fixture and flexibility in lighting design,” he adds.

As a luxury condominium, dwellers can pamper themselves with exclusive amenities such as pools for adults and children, two function rooms, a cabana and themed gardens, designed by landscape architect Crearis.

Each unit comes with a Pico de Loro Beach and Country Club individual membership share bundled with the condo price. They can make use of the fitness center and sports facilities.

The beach can be enjoyed anytime of the day since it’s a five-minute walk to the shoreline. The sea view units inspire a socially active lifestyle. On the other hand, the hillside units open to views of forested slopes and vivid skies. While the sea view units are exposed to the action on the beach, the mountain view units lend solitude and quiet.

Designed with the owner as the end-user, FREIA’s units are not to be leased for rentals, thus giving another layer of security aside from the stringent club membership screening.

Residents will not miss urban life since there’s a convenience store at the Country Club.  They can order gourmet meals from Pico de Loro Cove’s three restaurants that can be served in their homes. A clinic can assist in first aid needs while a 24-hour ambulance service can bring patients to the nearest hospital in Nasugbu. They will be spiritually charged during Mass at the St. Therese of the Child Jesus, commonly known as the Glass Chapel, whose transparent walls bring the landscape inside.
