Sicilian Roast is throwing that playbook out the window this November with a creation built almost entirely from the ground up to celebrate the mighty mushroom.
Available from now until December 31, 2026, across all four of their Metro Manila branches, Sicilian Roast is rolling out their brand-new Five Mushroom Pizza.
While a classic Italian pizza ai funghi typically starts with a standard tomato sauce, this seasonal masterpiece takes a completely different path. It starts with a rich, velvety mushroom cream base whipped together from button mushrooms and porcini, layered with fresh fior di latte. On top of that canvas goes a hearty mix of seared portobello and roasted shimeji, and the whole pie is finished off with a crown of crispy oyster mushrooms, a dusting of intense porcini powder,and a vibrant drizzle of salsa verde.
“With that much mushroom and cream, you want something fresh at the end,” explains Executive Chef Matt Navarro.“The salsa verde adds a bit of brightness to balance out all that richness.”
It is a balance that clearly hits the spot. CEO Lorenzo Vega admits it won over the kitchen staff immediately: “This one became a staff favorite pretty quickly. I’m all about the crispy oyster mushrooms on top.”
