Kukuys Wins Predator League PH Finals (3-2) vs Execration; Qualifies for APAC in India

The Predator League Philippine Finals for Dota 2 concluded in a thrilling LAN event at SM North EDSA Annex, where the all-star squad Kukuys executed a stunning reverse sweep to claim the championship title over defending champions Execration with a 3-2 score.

The tournament, which featured the top four teams – Kukuys, Execration, Team Nemesis, and Interactive Philippines – was a fierce battle for a share of the ₱500,000 prize pool and three exclusive slots in the upcoming APAC Finals in India.

The Grand Finals: A Duel Between Titans

The Grand Finals was a clash of veteran talent: Execration, aiming for a back-to-back title, brought back players like Justine ‘Tino’ Grimaldo and Bryle ‘cml’ Alvizo. However, they were up against the star power of Kukuys, led by captain Carlo ‘Kuku’ Palad, alongside Armel Tabios and Djardel ‘DJ’ Mampusti.

  1. Execration Dominates: Execration started strong, winning Game 1 decisively thanks to an impressive performance from Mark ‘Bob’ Urbina’s Slardar, and easily securing Game 2 with superior laning and economic advantage.
  2. Kukuys Mounts the Reverse Sweep: Facing a potential 0-3 sweep, Kukuys fought back hard. Substitute player Charles ‘lewis’ Santos (on Ursa) and DJ (on Hoodwink) were instrumental in securing the crucial Game 3 win in a 45-minute slugfest.
  3. Unorthodox Drafting Wins: Utilizing his signature unorthodox drafting style, Kuku stunned Execration in the final games with unusual carry picks like Batrider and Bristleback to finish the series. Kukuys ultimately denied Execration the repeat championship, lifting the Predator Shield and taking home the grand prize of ₱200,000.

Battle for the Final Spot

In the battle for the third and final slot to India, Team Nemesis, led by star player Marc Polo ‘Raven’ Fausto, overwhelmed the young squad of Interactive Philippines. Raven’s years of international experience shone through, as he averaged 10 kills and 12 assists in the series, securing their ticket to the APAC Finals.

Repping the Philippines in India

The three top-placing teams will now represent the Philippines at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2026 Grand Finals, scheduled to take place in India in January 2026.

The PH Representatives are:
