The Xiaomi Smart Band 9, the latest addition to Xiaomi’s fitness tracker series. I’ve had a few of the over the course of its series, and it continues to impress with its affordable price and extensive feature set. This ninth-generation device offers accurate health tracking, a diverse range of workouts, and a long-lasting battery, making it an attractive option for casual users like me and, of course, fitness enthusiasts.
Design and Comfort
The Xiaomi Band 9 maintains its comfortable and lightweight design. I like how the strap is designed, ensuring that it is firmly secured to your wrist. So whether your running, jumping, biking, or doing any other workout, you can be assured that it stays firm and monitors your health and progress accurately.
The bright 1200 nits, 1.62″ AMOLED clear display is easy to read even in bright sunlight, perfect for morning jogs or outdoor workouts. The 60Hz refresh rate is a great addition to the already impressive display
The band’s water resistance is a great feature, especially if you love running in the rain or if you sweat a lot. The screen automatically adjusts to avoid accidental touches when it’s wet and when water touches the screen.
I used it during a fun run, and I was surprised that aside from time and distance, it has a ton of information, including cadence, stride, pace, heart rate, and calories.
Although it does have a lot of workout features, I am more interested in the health tracking features:
- Heart Rate Monitoring: Accurately tracks heart rate 24/7 for insights into overall health and workout intensity.
- Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitoring: Measures SpO2 levels, crucial for understanding respiratory health and sleep quality.
- Sleep Tracking: Provides detailed analysis of sleep stages, helping users optimize their rest and recovery.
- Stress Tracking: Monitors stress levels, offering valuable insights into daily well-being and potential burnout.
Workout Tracking and GPS
With over 100 workout modes, the Band 9 caters to a wide range of fitness preferences. From indoor cycling to outdoor running, the band accurately tracks key metrics like distance, pace, and calories burned. The built-in GPS ensures precise location tracking, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and running.
The Band 9’s 21-day battery life really depends on your usage. I have had this for over a month, and I have only charged it twice since then, and it still has over 30%. It really is impressive.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 is definitely a bang for the buck. It’s cheaper than most smart bands out on the market. With fun runs flourishing again and running groups becoming popular, you might as well get yourself the latest smart band. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or simply looking to improve your overall well-being, the Band 9 is a worthy companion.
