Gaming has become a multibillion industry and over the past years, gaming has evolved a lot. We now have virtual reality, wearables, smartphones, and the battle of consoles is taking the market by storm. As much as I want to play, I don’t always have my console with me and I don’t always have enough time to do so.
A few years ago, I was playing games online via the web and I was contented because it doesn’t take much of my time and games are pretty simple and easy to play. It isn’t as complicated as those with console games. Since the web killed online Flash games, the games I loved to play were no longer there.
Luckily I stumbled upon a website where I can play web-based games just like in the old days. I’ve only come across Plays.org at the latter part of the 2020 pandemic when I’ve already run out of things to do and I’m sharing it now because, surprise, we are still in the pandemic. The list of games has everything I missed about web-based games:
- Games are simple and easy to play – no complicated rules or gameplays.
- Games are light and do not use much data.
- Games that don’t use much of my time.
- Kid-friendly, in case my daughter wants to play as well.

If you played Y8 before or any of its counterparts, this is way better because the games are suitable for kids and it loads faster. Before I used to monitor the games she plays, now I no longer need to. I’m confident that the website I have her browse for games is safe (she plays a game or two after her online classes). Her current favorite is the Point to Point Dot Connecting Game, you may think it’s easy but the challenge is the time limit. You’ll actually get it after a few tries, then you try to beat your own record afterward.
There are a lot of games at Plays.org and they are categorized and the nostalgic person that I am, I love the classics. Growing up in the 90s, I’ve enjoyed games like Galaga, Pac-Man, and others. Plays.org have their own versions of the game, same gameplay, same thrill, but with an updated look.
It’s a tab-away from work. I usually play it to take a breather and to take my eyes away from spreadsheets. Just have self-control because it can be addicting. Playing games kept me entertained during the pandemic.
There will always be something to improve, but I don’t see any as of now. I don’t mind not being able to save games when I’m in it only to pass time and not spend the rest of the day with. I can always move on to the next game or next category if it’s already boring me out. You can always rate games if needed and comment on what you think it needs to improve on.
So there you go folks, just hustle and play. All work and no play, is like being all-woke and no action.
