Acer has absolutely smashed it, clinching the top spot in the Philippine personal computer market in Q1 2025! According to market research firm GfK, Acer secured a whopping 35.7% total market share, a solid 34.2% in consumer notebooks, and an impressive 40.6% in gaming laptops. They even kept the momentum going strong in April, with their notebook segment hitting a 36% market share, cementing their dominance. Talk about a powerhouse performance!
Acer’s secret sauce? A multi-faceted marketing approach that includes super strategic partnerships with brand ambassadors. This method has proven incredibly effective in expanding Acer’s reach nationwide and really beefing up their local branding game. A prime example, and arguably the biggest ace up their sleeve, is their collaboration with the “Kings of P-pop,” SB19. This partnership has been absolutely crucial in keeping Acer relevant to its customer base, especially among the younger, dynamic demographic. The synergy between Acer and SB19 actually kicked off even before their official ambassadorship for Acer Day and endorsement with Acer and Acerpure back in 2021.
