In the wake of Typhoon Kristine’s destructive path, the BingoPlus Foundation, the compassionate arm of DigiPlus Interactive, has stepped up to provide much-needed relief to affected families. The foundation has allocated a significant ₱37 million to support those who lost loved ones and property.
A poignant moment of solidarity occurred on November 10th in Talisay, Batangas, where bereaved families received ₱250,000 each. This gesture, a testament to the foundation’s commitment to helping communities recover, was led by First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, DSWD Undersecretary Pinky Romualdez, DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco, and local government officials.
The devastation wrought by Typhoon Kristine was particularly severe in South Luzon, with Talisay bearing the brunt of landslides and flooding. The BingoPlus Foundation’s relief efforts are focused on providing immediate assistance and long-term support to affected communities.
“Our goal is to not only provide financial aid but to instill hope and resilience,” said DigiPlus Interactive Chairman Eusebio Tanco. “By working together with local authorities and other organizations, we can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected.”
Prior to this latest initiative, the BingoPlus Foundation had already mobilized resources to assist Typhoon Kristine victims. In partnership with the DSWD, the foundation distributed rice to over 750 families and organized volunteer efforts to repack and distribute essential supplies. Additionally, in collaboration with ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya, the foundation extended aid to 1,000 families in Isabela, Aurora, Pangasinan, and Quezon.
The BingoPlus Foundation’s commitment to community development extends beyond disaster relief. Through various initiatives, including healthcare programs, livelihood projects, and educational grants, the foundation has invested over ₱100 million nationwide. The PLUS Centers established in Negros, Cebu, and General Santos serve as hubs for community empowerment, offering essential services and resources.
By standing with communities during their darkest hours and empowering them for a brighter future, the BingoPlus Foundation is making a lasting difference.
