HUAWEI isn’t running out of ideas and innovation, especially with wearables. What’s surprising is that there’s always something new and something to look forward to. In the case of the HUAWEI Watch GT series, the GT 3 Pro is totally different from its predecessor.
To begin with it now with a leather strap that gives the watch a premium look. It has a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen that’s encased in a sapphire glass nanocrystalline ceramic and a titanium body. The Watch GT 3 Pro comes in two sizes – 46mm and 43mm. What I have is the 46mm version with a leather strap.

Viewing angles aren’t an issue with the bright and colour-rich AMOLED display, although I don’t see any other way or angle looking at your watch than from your wrist.

The large display and titanium body ads to approximately 54g (without the strap). Which is what most smartwatches in the market weigh. The back is also done beautifully so that premium isn’t just at face value, it’s also at the back.
The sensor at the make can help monitor sleep quality, SpO2 levels, heart rate, and its new addition, the ECG (Electrocardiogram) sensor that measures the heart’s rhythm. I usually check my heart rate and stress level after driving just for the fun of it, because driving on a narrow road with cars parked and pedestrians occupying the road is fun and stressful at the same time.

HUAWEI Watch GT 3 Pro runs on Harmony OS 2 that also features “over 100 workouts” modes because it can. Aside from the new common workout modes, HUAWEI added free diving as one of them to make use of IP68, 5ATM, and Dive (up to 30 meters).
The GT 3 Pro can last up to two weeks on a single 100% charge. That’s with regular use of notifications (calls, messages), workouts, and sleep monitoring. I regularly use it for is to view notifications, control music playback, and take photos (paired with iPhone). As for the health features, I just leave it running and check them out every now and then, then check my records on my phone to look for patterns that need my attention.

In marketing, I believe in the phrase “You can’t manage what you don’t measure”. It’s the same thing with our health and the HUAWEI Watch GT 3 Pro. It allows to me monitor my sleeping patterns, heart rate, stress level, and others. Because of the data I get from the HUAWEI Health app, I can monitor my health stats and make manage them by working out or sleeping more, Lolz.

HUAWEI Watch GT 3 Pro is not like its predecessor, it’s more classy and feels more premium than the latter.

The HUAWEI GT 3 Pro is a worthy upgrade from the previous model. This time they’ve put more effort into making it a more classy everyday watch that won’t break the bank. It’s probably the most beautiful smartwatch on the market today that can do more than just count steps. It measures, heart rate, body temperature, heart rhythm, oxygen level, sleep, stress, and many more. For PHP 16,999 you’ll get more than what you paid for.
