Moments are for Always at Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay

Whether it’s for the long weekend, an overnight or a just a quick stop, Tagaytay will always be top of mind when it comes to quick getaways. No matter what the occasion or weather condition, with friends, family or loved one it’s always nice to visit Tagaytay. Just 1.5hrs – 2hrs of travel time and you’ll feel the cool breeze and greenery that your workaholic body longs for.

Although Tagaytay is still the number one weekend getaway destination, a lot has changed in the past years or decades. Malls have been put up, bulalo restaurants flourished, there’s even an amusement park right at the edge of it. I’ve seen so many changes and been to a lot of places in Tagaytay but one of the few places that makes me want to go back is Taal Vista Hotel.

We weren’t able to get good photos of the facade when we came in because it was raining when arrived and we are all hungry so we went straight to the buffet area before even checking in.

Before we got to our seats, we already heard the crowd cheering because there were performers performing different Philippine traditional folk dances from different regions. It was a great addition to the sumptuous local dishes they were serving.

Here’s a quick view of my room. It didn’t have the view of the Taal Lake because it was on the Mountain Wing side of Taal Vista. I can go see the lake anytime anyways. Inside the room you’ll find a flat screen TV, safety deposit box, aircon (if Tagaytay isn’t cold enough for you). The bathroom features contemporary setting with both rain shower and hand held shower heads.

After unpacking we decided to walk around and take some photos then we had a quick bite and coffee at Taza. The cup of brewed coffee was no match to the sudden gush of cold Tagaytay breeze.

When the night came, the temperature dropped a few more degrees but the sights were more beautiful that it was during the day.

When you look at the lake you can also see the town of Taal all lit up during the night. It was definitely a great view and it got better after a few cocktails from the bar.

We stayed for a few in the bar for a few more drink (including milk tea) and enjoyed the performances from a live band before we headed back to our rooms.

If you like taking photos, like I do, Taal Vista is one of the best places in Tagatay to be in. You can take landscapes, portraits, action shots, whatever you feel like doing, I believe you’ll find a of inspiration in the area. While at it might as well join their “Moments for Always at Taal Vista Hotel.”, in celebration of their 80th anniversary. Photos has to be any of the following:

  • Creative and captivating nature inspired, landscape photos at Taal Vista Hotel
  • Emotive and engaging family, friends, portrait or lifestyle photos at Taal Vista Hotel
  • Food with story photos at Taal Vista Hotel

You can check out their Facebook post for the complete mechanics. – Moments For Always DSLR Photography Contest.

The prizes includes cash + overnight stay, buffet for four. I would love to join, I hope my alone time photos makes it.

What I like about Taal Vista Hotel is that it has a great view of the Taal Lake, good food, complete amenities (swimming pool, gym, events place), it’s just beside Skyranch and other popular destinations. A day isn’t enough to enjoy the place and escape the over populated Metro Manila.

After a long and tiring week at work, give yourself a break you deserve it. The next time you plan to visit Tagaytay, I strongly suggest you consider Taal Vista Hotel, you deserve it. Bring your family with you and make more moments for always.
