Raising Your Child’s AQ with ZooMoo

Raising Your Child’s AQ with ZooMoo

Even with the rise of smartphones and handheld entertainment, television still remains as a major contributor in a child’s development. It entertains, educate and influence kids in a lot of ways. Good thing there are child-friendly shows and channels available on cable and one of them is ZooMoo.

ZooMoo nourishes children’s Animal Quotient (AQ) through its library of shows that capture their attention and awaken their imagination. The channel provides deeper information about animals, their habitats, behavior, and characteristics in a simplified yet visual way that are highly appealing to kids. Having said that, you won’t actually see a snake swallowing a deer or a lion battling it out on the wild then eating its prey alive (or mating).

ZooMoo channel was officially launched at Zoo Coffee at Ayala Vertis North with guest journalist and environmental advocate Gregg Yan and lifestyle television host Kelly Misa-Fernandez who discussed interesting animal facts, and discussions focused on how children can become good caretakers of the planet. Joining them was Sales & Marketing Head of ZooMoo Asia Trippy Padilla.

I brought my daughter with me because she loves watching animal shows on TV and sometimes online and I thought she’d be interested in the discussion.

I was actually shookt with what Gregg shared about our country’s wildlife, I didn’t know we used to have our very own tiger, rhino, elephant, and others. It’s really sad to know that they got extinct. The panel discussion focused on the importance of teaching their kids about animals and nature at an early age. I truly believe that caring about animals goes beyond our pets.

ZooMoo channel comprises 1,500 self-contained shows combining spectacular wildlife footage with a range of puppetry, animations, and narrative techniques to create a unique viewing and learning experience for little viewers.

ZooMoo’s programming lineup follow five themes: explore time, create time, play time, puzzle time and quiet time. The channel also carries a strong message of conservation to help kids become more compassionate towards the creatures we share the planet with. Here are some of ZooMoo’s popular shows.

ZooMoo’s program line up is packaged in an easy to understand format that is fun for both parents and kids. SKYcable subscribers can choose to add ZooMoo (channel 120) to their channel line-up for only P20 per month via SKYcable Select.

ZooMoo also has an app for that enhances your child’s viewing experience through interaction. The app allows kids to participate in the immersive world of ZooMoo shows along with their parents. There are games puzzles and activities that can help parents with teaching their kids to get a better grasp of the animal world. The app is available on both Google Play and the App Store.
