Acer Academy is proving that technology is the ultimate equalizer through its latest partnership with the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB). The tech giant recently donated five Acer TravelMate laptops to the School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS), a program specifically designed to provide deaf Filipino students with high-quality, inclusive education.

These TravelMate devices—known for their durability and productivity focus, are geared to help students navigate online platforms, tackle digital coursework, and boost their digital literacy for future employment. Sue Ong-Lim, Managing Director of Acer Philippines, emphasized that the commitment goes beyond hardware, involving immersion programs and long-term support for students with disabilities.
SDEAS Dean Marian Patricia BEA Francisco and Vice-Chancellor Angelo Marco Lacson both highlighted that this move strengthens the school’s mission to bridge the gap for underprivileged learners and those with special needs. Acer Academy continues to expand its reach, now with over 400 member schools nationwide, aiming to transform traditional classrooms into innovative digital hubs.
