After getting my hands on the new Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 5.0, I can officially say that I saw what others have seen, and it lived up to the hype.
First of al I like that it came in different colors becaus it added a little more personality to it. It comes in Black, Ceramic White, Silver, Purple, Aqua Blue, Sheer Gold and what I got is the Glamour Red.
The ZenFone Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 5.0 weighs only 140g with a 5.0″ inch Gorilla Glass 4 screen that’s offers twice as much strength than Gorilla Glass 3. It’s ergonimic arc design is one a kind, and has won the 2015 IF Design Award for Telecommunication because of it’s highly-intuitive control layout and incorporating a physical rear key. It’s ergonomic arc design makes it easy for us to handle and use the phone. Taking selfies using the back of the button requires a little getting used to especially if you already mastered the art of taking selfies.
The box comes with everything that you need to start with, a usb cable, charger, an earphone, and some papers that we don’t usually read. The Zenfone 2 Laser 2.0 has a 16GB internal memory and micro SD slot that can accommodate up to 128GB. You’ll also get a 5GB free lifetime ASUS WebStorage once you sign up.
It has Android Lollipop out of the box and ASUS ZenUI which is an eye candy that packs a punch with a wide variety of exlclusive features.
Out of all the may excusive features added into the ASUS ZenUI my favorites are ZenMotion allows you to use gestures, screen taps, SnapView which separte personal and professional contents, and Kids Mode because the kids will always borrow your phone. It will give your phone additional security with a built-in parental controls and timer. I couldn’t even take a screenshot on Kids Mode so I just took a photo.
It’s 2GB RAM, QuadCore 1.2GHz processor, and 450MHz Adreno 306 GPU is more than enough for your daily needs like managing multiple socia media accounts, playing heavy graphic games, multitasking, and your regular artistic selfies.
Both shots were using Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 5.0’s 5MP front cam that has a f/2.0-aperture lens and 85-degree field to include more people in your selfies. I was happy with the selfie image result in low light condition. It also comes with a beauty mode, that good looking guys like me will never bother using. The 8MP PixelMaster rear camera has a laser-autofocus that reduces blurring and enhances image stabilization.
Those are a just a few of the shots I took using the phone, just follow me on instagram to see more of the shots I took using the phone, and if you want to see what others can’t see, get yourself an Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 5.0. Just so you don’t get confused, here’s an infographic of the two generations of the Asus Zenfone.
Overall, for the price of P7,295, you are actually getting more than what you paid for. 16GB storage, 2GB RAM, 1.2Ghz Quadcore Processor, 8MP rear and 5MP front cam both with f2.0 aperture with Laser Auto focus. For me, it was a great first impression and I’m looking forward to many more adventures with my Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 5.0
