HUAWEI has released a lot of cool gadgets lately, from powerful tablets, smartwatches, and IoT products as well. But don’t fret, HUAWEI also made sure that kids have their share of fun too with the new MatePad T Kids Edition.

Out of the box, it comes with a USB – C cable and a charger to go along with it, and obviously, it comes with a beautiful Kids Case made from environmentally safe silicone. It has a blue shell and a comfortable grip/handle for your child’s small hands. The Kids Case makes it more attractive to kids and of course, protects it from accidental drops.
Inside, the MatePad T Kids Edition has enough power a their fun learning activities, it comes with an 8-core processer (4 x Cortex A53 2.0 GHz + 4 x Cortex A53 1.5 GHz) and 2GB RAM. It is powerful enough to run child-friendly apps. It is, after all, recommended to children 3-8 years old. It also has 16GB storage and a micro SD slot for an additional 512GB. It has a 5100 mAh battery capacity which I guess is more than enough since there won’t be power chuggin apps or features.
It has an 8″ inch LCD display with a 1280 x 800 resoluion at 189 pixels per inch. The rear camera is 5MP with auto focus while the selfie is 2MP fixed focus which are understandable, it’s not like your child will take a IG worthy travel photos. They’ll probably just take photos to explore or investigate things around them.
A single speaker is located at the left and it’s powered with HUAWEI Histen 6.0 Sound Effect, the other side is the micro usb slot for charging and file transfer.
What makes the MatePad T Kids Edition special are the child safety features – Kids Corner, Multi-layered Eye Protection, and the Parental Assistant.
The Multi-Layered Eye Protection features

A paper-like reading experience that feels more natural and comfortable − even over extended sessions.
Parental Assistant
This is where you can check your child’s acitivy including the apps used and the time spent. Parents can also set and manage the time your child have access to the tablet. The parent can also set their child’s password aside from the parent’s password.
