OPPO F5 Youth First Impressions

OPPO F5 Youth First Impressions

OPPO F5 Youth is the mid range variant of OPPO’s new line up, there’s the OPPO F5, the OPPO F5 Youth and the OPPO A83 which was just recently released. Though mid range, it has all the bell and whistles that the OPPO F5 have with only a little difference in RAM, and in both the front and rear camera.

OPPO F5 Youth Specifications:

  • 6″ FHD+ LTPS IPS LCD 18:9 display @ 2160 x 1080 resolution ~403ppi

Inside the box you’ll get a charger, a cable, a pair of earphones, clear case, SIM pin tool and a some papers you we don’t really read.

The OPPO F5 Youth has triple card slot instead of a hybrid sim slot. The triple card slot makes dual sim a reality without sacrificing the space for additional storage.

The F5 Youth runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with OPPO’s ColorOS 3.2 on top of it.  It may look or feel familiar because it has a significant similarity with the iOS. The 18:9 full screen display is no longer exclusive to flagship phones, it has become a new standard on mobile phones.

I’m not going to talk about the features that much, what I’m very much interested in are the front and rear cameras. OPPO has branded itself as the selfie expert, however, since I am not into taking selfies, I’ll focus on the rear camera but that’s going to be on my next post.
