SMHCC is weaving a beautiful story of sustainability and community empowerment with its Tela Tales initiative. This time, the spotlight is on the vibrant cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.

In partnership with the Homeless People’s Federation of the Philippines – Iloilo (HPFPI) and Negrense Volunteers for Change (NVC), Tela Tales is transforming discarded linens and Nespresso pods into stunning works of art. These upcycled creations will be available for purchase at Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo and Bacolod, providing a sustainable source of income for local artisans.

A Sustainable Feast
To complement the sustainable fashion initiative, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo and Bacolod hosted special lunches featuring dishes inspired by World Wildlife Fund’s “Sustainable Diner.” By sourcing locally, reducing meat consumption, and minimizing food waste, these hotels are demonstrating their commitment to environmental responsibility.

SMHCC’s dedication to sustainability and social impact is evident in the Tela Tales initiative. By empowering local communities and reducing waste, they’re creating a positive impact on the environment and society.

As SMHCC continues to grow, they remain committed to balancing business success with social responsibility. By supporting local artisans, reducing waste, and promoting sustainable practices, they’re setting a new standard for hospitality and corporate citizenship.
