Vivo V20 Pro – Beauty with a Purpose

Vivo V20 Pro for me is the most beautifully designed phone I’ve laid my hands on. But is it as good as it looks?

Let just first show you how beautiful it is. The unit I have is called the Sunset Melody. It changes colors depending on the angle, it transitions to blue, pink, orange which basically how the sunset transitions as well. Beautiful isn’t it?

The vivo V20 Pro is also known to be the thinnest 5G-capable smartphone in the market today.

It’s thickest point is at 7.38mm and weighs only 179gms. Which is vey handy and light on the pocket and on the hand.

The only set back I have with the design is that they have to sacrifice the 3.5mm port. You can however get the vivo TWS Neo. The sim card tray is located at the bottom together with the speaker and the USB Type C port.

Aside from its beautiful color, what’s noticeable is the rear cameras’ new design. It has a triple camera set-up with a 64MP camera as the main snapper. Then there’s an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP lens for bokeh.

I like how the new camera is designed, it sets it apart from the rest of the phone designs now, which mostly is square with the lenses on the four corners. It also has a Dual-LED dual-tone flash at the back.

I love the colors that the camera produces even on a gloomy day. The rear camera produces a natural bokeh, it doesn’t look like it was software enhanced.

The dual selfie camera is placed at the center via a notch with 44MP wide and an 8MP ultrawide.

The camera has a couple of awesome features including a noteworthy double exposure. It’s a cool feature that can be of use in certain scenarios or if just have to be creative enough to pull it off.

Inside the V20 Pro comes with a 6.44″ AMOLED with a 1080 x 2400 resolution. Inside the unit is a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 765G process with Adreno 620 GPU. It also is packed with 8GB RAM and 128GB.

Vivo has added new features on for it FunTouh 11 OS on top of Android 10.

  • Dynamic Sky is a feature where you change the sky from rainy to sunny, or vice versa directly via the photo album
  • Memory Recaller – restores old photos to its beauty. simply scan an old photo using the camera and viola.

It pack a batter capcity of 4,000mAh with a 33W FlashCharge and Vivo Energy Guardian (VEG) – a smart power manager. Travel with ease while leaving your battery worries behind.

The vivo V20 Pro is at Php24,990, which is 10k cheaper than the flagship. But I will definitely choose this over the X50 Pro because of the design and the budget. 😊
