Costa Coffee open’s its third branch in the fast-growing business district in Manila, Bonifacio Global City. This is a follow up on Costa Coffee Eastwood and Costa Coffee Robinsons Place Manila a few months ago. Costa Coffee was born out of brothers Bruno and Sergio Costa’s love for premium coffee. They were first selling their coffees to local caterers and soon after opened their first café.
During the opening Cara Manglapus entertained the guests with her musical renditions of British classics, as we snacked on perfect coffee pairings, which includes pastries made especially for Costa Coffee Philippines.
Guests spent the afternoon #LondonStyle as they were immersed in the different sights and sounds of what it would be like to have high coffee in the world’s cultural capital.
It was my first time to taste Costa Coffee’s unique blend of coffee because there was none near me. I was actually hoping that they open one somewhere in the malls of Ortigas so that it’s closer to home, but BGC is fine because it’s closer the offices.
They have a combination of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans which they call the Mocha Italia. Costa coffees are all handcrafted and espresso based, giving each specialty, like Flat White, the Mocha Italia aroma and body only a proper cup of coffee should have.
I’m not a die-hard coffee fanatic, but my taste bud tells that Costa Coffee is the better coffee. Not hyped, not commercialized, just great coffee.
