No, that isn’t their version of the “Last Supper”, this was taken during the press con of Apl De Ap‘s We Can Be Anything Foundation. The foundation aims to help children achieve their dreams thru education.
Apl De Ap is a member of the Grammy Award winning group, the Black Eyed Peas. Apl, was born to a Filipina mother and an African-American father. He later moved to America after being adopted and sponsored by Joe Ben Hudgens thru his foundation and lived his dream of becoming a super star.
His foundation started with a small building that houses 25 computers. The computers were used to educate kids and prepare them to become global professionals in arts and technology.
Last Aug 18, together with the rest of Team Apple of The Voice of the Philippines, they visited the students at the National High School where Apl donated classrooms, a computer laboratory, a recording studio and music library. They also went to Tondo, Manila to help out the victims of the recent typhoon.
Apl De Ap Foundation also teamed up with Red Ribbon with Macaroons For A Cause to help build public high school that will groom students in arts and technology, specifically music. Each pack of Macaroons For A Cause sold, 14% or P7 goes to the foundation.
Apl has achieved so much and is giving back more, sharing what he got. He proves that he does not only have The Voice of the Philippines but also the Heart of a True Filipino.
