If you say Italian food, only pasta and pizza comes in to min but there was actually more to it. In celebration of Italy’s National Day on June 2, the newest 5-star hotel in South Metro, Crimson Hotel offers a one of a kind Italian experience “Ciao Italia“
Ciao Italia is a month long food festival that showcases authentic dishes form south of Italy. All of the dishes are new to me and unreadable (best served than read).
It’s a full course meal for only Php 1,100 nett for lunch and Php1,400 nett for dinner. A “Buy One Get One” offer is also available on Italian wines priced at Php 1,500 nett for Romio Sangiovese and Chardonnay
Ciao Italia is held at Cafe Eight, right across this beautiful gallery.
The place was surrounded with artworks that gives us more than the taste of Italy but also the of it. With paintings, sculptures and even the staff was dresses up like they were partying during the Italian Renaissance.
As an added feel to an already Italian ambiance, we were serenaded with an opera singer.
I’m gonna skip the appetizers and head on to the main dishes. Starting with Risotto alle Cozze e Limone or lemon and muscles risotto.
Agnello ai Carciofi a lamb and artichoke stew.
Malloreddus alla Campidanese
Tagliate di Manzo Con Rucola e Grana
And for deserts they served these delicious delicacies…
… and the very delicious panna cotta.
It was one delightful meal that you can experience without having to go to Italy.
